NLMK Launches Digital Assistant to Control Metal Packaging Process

Developed by NLMK’s own team, the digital assistant ensures packaging compliance, reducing the likelihood of corrosion.  Employees photograph each stage of the packaging process in sequence, with all data saved to a database.

As a result, every coil comes with a digital control profile. Inspectors can run remote audits and export reports for incident analysis.

The assistant has already been piloted at two packaging stations and proven effective. The solution enables end-to-end quality control at every stage of packaging. These additional checks improve the quality of end products.

Planned project expansion in 2H 2026:

· Rollout to additional packaging stations in NLMK’s rolling operations,

· Adding photo capture at the point of shipment,

· Integration with the “Claims” IT system.
