NLMK Lipetsk Begins Production of Ultra-Thin Cold-Rolled Steel

NLMK Group has fully set up the technology for the production of ultra-thin cold-rolled steel in thicknesses starting from 0.2 mm.

Advantages of the new product

• Reduced metal consumption in end products,
• Dimensional stability ensured by a thickness tolerance of ±0.01 mm,
• Improved flatness eliminates the need for additional levelling.

Applications

This technology’s flexibility ensures steel characteristics that can satisfy unique requirements across various segments:

• Retail equipment — load-bearing shelves and panels, display case frames, decorative and mounting components,
• Heating equipment — convector housings, covers and service panels, internal dividers and guides, spacer plates,
• Industrial packaging — containers and protective casings, forming elements,
• Downstream painting and coating of rolled steel.
